• LON-retrofittable: The Quantium 500T is fully LON-retrofittable by means of changing a "piggy-back" board and its associated software and without the need for a "black box".

Standard Temperature Accounting (STA) - NEW!

STA is a fully W&M (weights and measures) approved component that ensures you dispense your fuel at the same volume regardless of the temperature. As a general rule, the colder the ground temperature the more fuel you are losing with each sale. This is because fuel contracts in colder temperature and it expands in warmer temperatures. In a country like Ireland, with a relatively cold average soil temperature, STA is a product that provides a clear and transparent return on investment.

Here comes the science…

  • The temperature co-efficient of fuel is 0.1% per 1°C of temperature change. This means that every time the temperature of the fuel increases/decreases by 1°C it expands/contracts by 0.1%.
  • The average annual soil temperature in Ireland is 10.7°C.
  • European and Irish legislation allows you to dispense fuel at 15°C.
  • So, your service station would save 0.43% annually in fuel volume
  • A small service station selling 2.5 million litres of fuel per year would save 10,500 litres of fuel
  • At €1.35 a litre you would save more than €14,000 per annum.

The Two Options…

  • All new Tokheim dispensers can be fitted with integrated STA and a bunch of additional features. You can experience all these benefits with the new Quantium dispensers.
  • If you have a Tokheim dispenser bought after 1999 you can easily retrofit the pump with STA. It is simple to install and the work can be completed in a few hours.
